3rd Quarter Summary:
Spread Aloha! Give Sight! The Foundation has been hard at work to fulfill our mission this past quarter. In addition to the missions and training meetings, we have also been in the public eye to “spread aloha” and encourage others to give in support of our efforts. We thank those who participated in our 3rd Aloha Friday campaign (pictured) and humbly request your continuous support.
Our reach has gone from Mexico, to St. Vincent, onward to Palau, then Ethiopia, the Dominican Republic, and just back from Cambodia and Laos! We are so grateful to all those who have made the sacrifices to join us as we do our part to end curable blindness around the world.
Special thanks to the 22 volunteer faculty, and to the sponsors of our first Cambodia Eye Meeting (CEM) in Phnom Penh: Alcon International, Allergan Foundation, SightLife/CorneaGen, Helm Eye Center, Twin Harbors Eye Center, and the Mills Family Foundation. We also wish to thank the in-country sponsors: Ashford Laboratories Ltd., Image Pharma, and MEES.
We are forever grateful to our incredible team of Board members who continue to share the good work we do, by reaching out to community members for sponsorship and by attending missions to lead by example. The generosity of our network continues to inspire each of us. We appreciate the community recognition of our leader, Dr. Corboy, for his lifetime of contributions to eye care. Please join us as we make efforts to change the vision of the future.
