Training Programs

We believe that teaching is the best method towards sustainability. Rather than visit a country once to do surgery, we strive to bring our humble suggestions and trainings to local healthcare workers so that they can add modern techniques to their practice. Our goal is to provide quality eye care to all. Teaching doctors, nurses and techs allows us to provide that care vicariously. When we teach, they can care for more patients in a more successful manner.

Since 2006, HEF has been involved in the training of Southeast Asian ophthalmologists. After a change in government, we were the first Americans allowed into Vietnam to start a CE program in conjunction with the Hue City Hospital. Learn more about the Imperial City Eye Meeting

Corboy, M.D. Memorial Award for Distinguished Service to Ophthalmology (sponsored by Bausch + Lomb) to Dr. Randall Olson.  We were also lucky ...
