2018 Cataract Days
We are pleased to announce the second annual Cataract Days project on May 8, 2018 at the Jenkins Eye Care center!
This project is especially for those who do not have or cannot obtain medical insurance, or those with financial hardship that does not allow them to be able to afford this surgery. We are also able to offer Glaucoma treatments. We will accept those who meet a list of eligibility requirements establish by Federal guidelines.
Our goal is to give the gift of sight to those who would otherwise be unable to obtain such services. This will give them the chance to care for themselves, their family, and branch out into the workforce.
Mandatory pre-operative exams will be held by appointment on April 19, 2018. If the patient does not have a general practitioner, physicals and surgical clearance will also be available that day. Mandatory post-operative exams will occur at May 9, 2018. All appointments will be held at Jenkins Eye Care, located at 615 Piikoi St. Suite 205, Honolulu, HI 96814. Bus passes and/or shuttles will be provided, if necessary.
Secondary post-ops can be completed by the patients’ doctors or by the Jenkins Eye Care staff.
If you or someone you know may be able to utilize this service, please call (808)536-3961 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
This effort is sponsored by the Atherton Family Foundation and presented by Jenkins Eye Care (http://jenkinseyecare.com), Project Vision Hawai’i (http://www.projectvisionhawaii.org) and Hawaiian Eye Foundation.
