In 2010, Hawaiian Eye Foundation raised scholarship funds for Dr. Do Tuyet Nhung to attend a two-month Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MSICS) training program with Dr. Ghanta Madhavi at Goutami Eye Institute in India. Dr. Pham Nhu Vinh Tuyen, an ophthalmologist at Hue Central Hospital in Viet Nam who co-chairs the Training Program with Hawaiian Eye Foundation President Dr. John Corboy, was among three Vietnamese ophthalmologists who received grants from Hawaiian Eye Foundation to attend the 2009 Royal Hawaiian Eye Meeting.
